The Learning With Data (LWD) Workshop is a complete learning package containing background content, data browsers, data selection and annotating tools, homework assignments, and inquiry activities. The teacher can create new content or edit the included materials and integrate the changes using the configurable menu system. The materials and pedagogy are based on over 20 years of experience teaching a large general education oceanography course at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The "Learning Plate Tectonics With Data" CD is the first "Learning With Data" product.
The LearningWithData CD is suitable for use in a computer lab, as a lecture aid for teachers, or as a resource for students to use on their own computers.
Required operating systems: Mac OSX, WindowsXP, Vista (untested on Windows 2000)
